Bec Hardy Wines
bechardy.com.au/

Established in 2015, Bec Hardy Wines is a family-owned wine business based in McLaren Vale, South Australia. Bec is a 6th generation member of and the first female vigneron from one of Australia’s oldest wine families, the Hardys.

In 2020, Bec took over the ownership and running of the Pertaringa brand in McLaren Vale as part of her family’s succession planning. Established by her father Geoff Hardy in 1980, Pertaringa continues to be a family-owned and operated wine business under Bec and her husband Richard. The name Pertaringa means 'belonging to the hills' and originates from the local Kaurna indigenous language.

The Hardy name has been synonymous with South Australian wine since the 1850s and Bec Hardy continues that tradition, building on the experience and reputation of her predecessors.

2022 Pertaringa Lakeside Series - Chardonnay

Chardonnay

Sourced from the premium South Australian regions of Limestone Coast and Adelaide Hills, this Chardonnay is made in a fresh, modern style with just a touch of oak. The nose offers subtle, elegant aromas of freshly picked green apples, as well as citrus notes of oranges and lemons. The palate is a well-balanced with tasty flavours of apples and lemons, complemented by crisp acidity on the refreshing palate.  Try this wine with a chicken and spring vegetable risotto.

2017 Pertaringa Traditional Series
- Over the Top Shiraz

Syrah

The nose captures McLaren Vale in a glass, combining berry and cherry freshness with spicier elements and more than a hint of pepper. The palate is complex and dense with dark fruits, black pepper, cloves and licorice root, followed by powdery tannins and a beautifully long finish.  Either way, its a big steak wine or a big-steak wine?
